Why is Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated from September 15 through October 15?
September 15 is independence day for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. September 16 is independence day for Mexico. September 18 is independence day for Chile. October 12 is Día de la Raza (Columbus Day).
