Emergency

This year is the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of June 1969. Seen by many as the beginning of the modern LGBT rights movement, these riots took place at New York's Stonewall Inn, a well-known gay bar. Subject to frequent raids by law enforcement, bar-goers rioted to assert their rights to congregate and socialize free from police harassment.

Parades and other LGBT-Pride events can be found in San Francisco, Salinas Valley, and Monterey County
