Archive Your Capstone

Make the product of all your hard work available for family, friends, and potential employers to view online by archiving your capstone or thesis. More information is available via the Library's Capstone & Thesis pages.

Want to see what other students have archived? You can browse the Archive, as well.

Try a research guide

Looking for sources for a research project? Try clicking Start Your Research on the library homepage. We have many subject-specific guides that will point you toward books in our library and others, key databases and journal titles, web sites, and more.

Need a quiet study space?

The quiet areas in the library are:

2nd floor Quiet Study Area at the east end
3rd floor Archives Reading Room

In the quiet areas, please set your cell phones to silent and refrain from having conversations with others. The library and your fellow students thank you.

New "Search" on Library home page

There is a new search available via the Library home page. We have moved around our other links to highlight it. You can use this search to find books, articles, and more by choosing one of the options from the dropdown "Find..." box. There are a number of options for narrowing your results on the right of the search results page. For those of you who want to search specific databases or our online catalog, the "Articles & Databases" and "Find Books (Classic)" will take you to the same pages as before.

Stonewall Book Awards honor LGBT content

Each year, books of exceptional merit that reflect the LGBT experience are recognized by the American Library Association's Stonewall Book Awards. Winners and honor books are chosen in literature, non-fiction, and children's/young adult categories. The CSUMB Library is pleased to report that our collection has 13 of the 15 Stonewall selections for 2012, listed below.

Library Survey a Success!

Many thanks to those students, faculty, and staff who participated in our Fall 2011 library survey. 1,157 of you took a few minutes to let us know how we're doing, and we've been carefully considering your feedback. The most notable result is that users are much more satisfied with the library than they were in 2005, when we last administered the survey. This increase was especially dramatic in the "Library as Place" category, indicating a high level of appreciation for our new building.

New here?

Take a look at our New Student FAQ for answers to the 20 most commonly asked questions in the library. You can also get to the FAQ and lots of other helpful info by clicking the "How Do I..." link on the library homepage. Oh, and welcome to CSUMB!
